NASHVILLE, TN - In the aftermath of a dust-up at MTV's video music awards, Kanye West and Taylor Swift have announced a collaboration on a new music video project. The duo is slated to perform a reprise of 'Ebony and Ivory', the Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder duet credited for providing racial harmony for a two week period in the Spring of 1982. Sources close to both performers say the project will provide much needed healing to the music community and devastated Beyonce fans.
"I want to prove that black people and white people can work together, like Oprah and Phil Donahue." said a sedated West. "And I wanted to work with Taylor because she's the whitest person I've ever seen."
Sources say the remake will be produced by Jay Billy Ray, who has successfully fused country and hip hop with hits such as 'Kickin' it on the back 40', 'Four Wheel Drive and a Colt 45', and 'My Mama Ain't no Gangsta'. It is also reported that the beat-box banjo duo Willie and Grill Z are interested in joining the project.
Swift has overcome her initial reluctance and is eager to move forward with the project. "My first thought after Kanye called was that I needed to change my phone number." said a perky Swift. "But as an artist, I want to promote diversity and tolerance, and there's no better way to do that than to work with a colored fella."
