McCain Promises To Raise And Lower Taxes
NEW YORK, NY - Speaking at a fundraiser with the group New York Women for McCain, the Republican nominee today continued his promises to cut taxes if elected. The Arizona senator pledged to make the Bush tax cuts permanent and to introduce new cuts as well. He argued the cuts are necessary for Americans to be able to afford all the new taxes in coming years.
John McCain
"My opponent is proposing all these new taxes without the forethought of how Americans will be able to pay them." he said. "Under my plan, I can raise the same taxes, funded by tax cuts."

Strategists for Democrat nominee Barack Obama, who privately concede that McCain's plan is brilliant, scrambled to counter the idea. "Tax cuts are always popular among people who pay taxes." said one campaign official, who spoke with us on the condition of anonymity. "Truth is, we believe that those people are in the minority. We think its entirely possible to raise taxes without tax cuts."

McCain said Obama, who was never a prisoner of war, or even in the military, lacks the experience and vision to raise taxes properly. "You've got to have some give and take with the American taxpayer." he said. "After all, pigs get fat - hogs get slaughtered."
