Paula Abdul: Bartender's Performance 'Brilliant'

HOLLYWOOD, CA - Paula Abdul's trademark starry-eyed gushing continued well after the production of 'American Idol' at an after party in Jason's, a nearby drinking establishment. Paula was moved to tears after a lengthy performance by Phil, the head bartender, and had difficulty finding the words to express her appreciation.

"You are, your just the...what you did with that martini glass, and the olives...the ice scooping was...I just...and...you, just how incredible...I mean, my Chihuahuas would love you...everybody just loves you." she said, tearfully sipping a Manhattan. "You are a brilliant, brilliant bartender."

Randy Jackson also liked Phil's performance: "I was a little worried at first, dude - drinks were a little watery for me and I didn't think the fruity drinks were happening - but you worked it out with the double Tanqueray and tonic. Dog, that was hot!"

Simon, however, was not impressed: "If I'm being completely honest with you it was horrendous. Just all over the place...sorry. You went from Mai-Tais to Champaign coolies to Tequila shots - there was no flow...it was a complete mess...sorry. And that white shirt with the black tie is just boring - you look like you belong on a cruise ship...sorry."

"Simon's entitled to his opinion." said Phil. "I may have put a little too much ice in his Champagne coolie, but I'm pretty sure I'll be back next week."
