NBC Cancels 'Biggest Gainer'
NEW YORK, NY - NBC has postponed production of its new reality show, 'Biggest Gainer' over a contract dispute with the shows hosts. A spin-off of the hit weight loss series 'Biggest Loser', producers planned to feature young anorexic girls in a competition to gain the highest percentage of weight. A dispute over top billing between co-hosts Ashley Olsen and Nicole Richie led to the cancellation.

"Ashley has been the icon of anorexia for years." said Pamela Bernhard, Ms. Olsen's business agent. "She's worked hard for that top billing. Besides, she comes first alphabetically anyway." Representatives for Ms. Richie could not be reached for comment.

The show closely followed the format of the hugely popular 'Biggest Loser'. Contestants are divided into three teams, who then competed against each other in binge eating challenges. Weekly winners were determined at a weigh-in based on total body weight gained. The lightest contestants, who usually purged or took contraband diarrhetics, were voted off by the remaining players.

"Hopefully we can work things out and get this show on the air." said Kirstie Alley, trainer for the black team. "This is too important to leave on the shelf. We have the potential to inspire millions of bony little girls out there to pick up that fork."
