Conspiracy At 'Deal Or No Deal'?
LOS ANGELES, CA - The popular NBC game show 'Deal or No Deal' has thrilled audiences with ordinary people randomly choosing cases with randomly placed amounts of money - or so they would have you believe. The Daily Redundancy has obtained information that the placement of the prize amounts may not be completely arbitrary after all. Researchers at Howyflyl University claim the statistics are heavily skewed according to the gender of the contestant and the physical characteristics of the case-opening models.
Deal Or No Deal
"It's important to consider human nature when analyzing the results." said Paul Kruger, Professor of Analytical Statistics at the University. "Aware of it or not, the contestants are picking the model as well as the number."

The researchers classified each model according to hair color and bust size. The average amount held in each model's case was calculated according to the gender of the contestant. The results were startling: blonde models had up to 25% more money in their cases when female contestants were playing, who then tended to eliminate them more quickly than male contestants. The brunette models, who female contestants usually picked first and then kept in play longer, on average had less money in their cases.

The results are even more dramatic when bust size was a variable. "Models with small breasts had up to two and a half times more money when the contestant was a male." said Kruger. "And of course, the men would eliminate them first." Kruger, however, declined to accuse NBC of fixing the results. "It could all be a big coincidence." he said. "We plan to collect more visual evidence before reaching a conclusion."
