| NASA Recall Space Diapers |
HOUSTON, TX - In a surprising move, NASA has recalled all diapers manufactured for astronauts use in space. Officials familiar with the situation claim use of these diapers - which are designed for use in the microgravity of space - may somehow trigger strange
behavior here on Earth. "We're not sure if it's a blood pressure phenomenon or just a psychosomatic reflex" says Otto Pondbottom, Director of NASA's Bodily Fluids Management Program. "But we're not going to take any chances."

Local merchants were baffled by the decision. "Apparently we've missed an opportunity here." said Kuva Sodaseller, owner of a local
five and dime store. "We didn't even know they were available. But I bet we could have moved a bunch of 'em." Retailers of all sizes contacted by The Daily Redundancy has similar reactions, some even saying, "I'd have a display at the end of the produce aisle this afternoon if I could get my hands on some."
Experts say the product was poised for huge sales. "The NASA brand alone gives great confidence to the average consumer." says Dexter Actuarials, Associate Professor of Hygiene Products Marketing at Howyflyl University. "The sales potential in the infant and toddler market could
have even been outperformed by the growing seniors market. That's how broad of an appeal NASA has."
Although declining to attach the move to any specific incidents, NASA insists the recall is necessary to protect the public. "Safety of the populous is far more important." explains Pondbottom. "We'd hate for these things to get out and then have to go all over the country chasing them down."
